Margan Wines

Andrew Margan is the winemaker for Margan Family Wines, he had one of the best apprenticeships in the business with the late, great Murray Tyrrell, one of the best winegrowers of his time. He taught the importance of the relationship between the vineyard and the finished wine, which is exactly what Andrew has based his current winegrowing philosophy on.

Andrew also spent several years as a 'flying winemaker' traveling between European and Australian vintages several times per year. He was mainly based in the Bordeaux wine region of France but also made wine in other regions. 

In 1997 after more than twenty vintages at Tyrrell's, Andrew decided to fulfill a long held dream and launch his own wine brand named simply, Margan.
